State Line Scattered Applique

Show your state pride and create a one-of-a-kind Virginia wall hanging! This project would be a great gift made in school colors or college fabric for those upcoming graduations. 🎓😀

Students will be taught all the steps from START TO FINISH to make a scattered applique state of Virginia quilted wall hanging. Students will also have the option to finish the wallhanging with two different methods of creating a hanging pocket. 

In this 3-session class, students will learn an easy and fun raw edge applique technique that can be used not only in quilting projects, but other projects such as aprons, pillowcases, tote bags, clothes and more. 

Skills Taught:

• How to apply fusible web  
• How to "fussy cut" prepared fabrics 
• Arranging fabrics into a collage shape
• How to finish the collage appliqued piece onto a  background fabric
• Two methods of creating a hanging pocket

Tuesday, March 12, 2024; 6:30-8:30pm

Thursday, March 14; 6:30-8:30pm AND

Saturday, March 16; 12:00-4:00pm
