A0 Pattern Printing
Ashburn, VA

Big patterns, zero taping. Upload your PDF; we print it full-size on A0 paper, and you pick it up the next business day. Sew much better than piecing together 42 letter-size pages.

What is A0 pattern printing?

A0 pattern printing is the shortcut every PDF pattern buyer dreams about. Instead of printing at home and taping dozens of sheets together (only to discover page 17 was scaled wrong), send us the file, and we'll print your PDF patterns full-size on a single sheet of large-format paper (36" x 48"). It's the standard copy-shop size that fits both A0 and wide-format PDF patterns. Black and white, crisp lines, ready to cut. You walk in, pick it up, and get straight to the good part: the sewing.

Who it's for:

  • Sewists who buy PDF patterns: You love the instant download. You do not love the taping. Skip it.

  • Quilters with large pattern pieces: Big blocks, big templates, big paper. A0 keeps your piecing precise.

  • Anyone tired of taping letter-size pages: save your kitchen table (and your sanity). We have got you covered.

How It Works

1

Upload your PDF

Fill out the form below and attach your pattern file(s). Takes about two minutes.

2

We count your A0 pages

We open your file and hand-count the A0 pages, so you only pay for what actually prints.

3

We email you an invoice

You get an email with your exact total (page count x per-page rate). No surprises, no estimate games.

4

Pickup next business day

Pay the invoice, we print, and your pattern is ready to pickup at our Ashburn studio the next business day.

$6.99 /PER PAGE

You don't pay at submission. We count your pages first, then send an invoice for the exact total. Simple, fair, and exactly what you ordered.
Small note: Invoices will be sent manually after we verify your page count. Payment is due before printing begins. We will email you a secure link to pay once your total is ready

Frequently Asked Questions

When do I pay?

You don't pay when you submit. We count your A0 pages first, then email you a manual invoice for the exact total. You pay through the secure link in that email, and we print after payment clears. No charges at upload, no estimates, just your actual page count at our actual per-page rate.

How do I know my page count?

We tell you. Once we open your PDF and count the pages, the invoice shows the exact number and the total. We price by the 48-inch page on 36-inch-wide paper, so a single pattern sheet up to 48 inches long counts as one page. Anything longer counts as multiple pages in 48-inch increments (a 36 x 120-inch pattern is 3 pages). If your pattern includes both large-format and tiled letter-size pages (some do), we only count and charge for the large-format pages you ask us to print.

Can you ship my prints?

Sorry, no. Pickup only at our Ashburn studio. If you have been searching for "sewing pattern printing near me" and you are anywhere in Northern Virginia, pickup here might be closer than you think. If you are outside the area and need prints mailed, let us know, and we can point you to a shop that ships.

Can I get color printing?

Not yet. We print black and white only, right? Most sewing patterns are line work, so B&W is plenty crisp for cutting. If color is a must for your project, email: info@sewmagarbo.com and we can talk about what you need.

What if my file is too big to upload?

Mail it to: info@sewmagarbo.com instead. The form accepts files up to 25MB per file, but we can handle bigger ones through email. Include your name and phone number so we can match it to a submission if you started one.

How fast is the turnaround?

Next business day, counting from when your payment clears. Submit Monday morning, pay Monday afternoon, pick up Tuesday. Submit Friday, and your order is ready Monday.

Do I need to scale my pattern before uploading?

Nope. Send the file exactly as you downloaded it. We print at 100% scale on A0 paper, the standard size for large-format PDF sewing patterns. If your pattern has a test square (most do), check it after pickup to confirm it printed at the right scale. We always print at full size.

What paper size do you print on?

We print on 36-inch-wide roll paper and price by the 48-inch page. That covers both true A0 files (841 x 1189mm, roughly 33 x 47 inches) and standard "copy shop" format files, so send whichever version your pattern designer provides. One of your pattern's dimensions (length or width) must be 36 inches or less to fit the roll. If your pattern is longer than 48 inches, it prints continuously but counts as multiple pages, priced in 48-inch increments. For example, a 36 x 120-inch pattern counts as 3 pages. We always check the dimensions when your file comes in and let you know if there's an issue before we print.

Can someone else pick up my order?

Yes. Just let us know in the "Anything we should know?" field on the form, or email us after you submit. The person picking up should bring a photo ID and the name on the order so we can match it.

What if there's an error in my printed pattern?

Tell us right away. If the error is on us (a print glitch, ink smudging, paper jam), we will reprint at no charge. If the error is in the original PDF (a designer mistake, a missing piece), contact the pattern designer directly, since we print what you send us. Either way, email info@sewmagarbo.com and we will help sort it out!
