Slow Stitch Club Season 2

Indulge in the soothing world of slow stitching as you embark on a creative journey that marries artistry, community, and mindful crafting. Join us for a transformative and enriching experience in our Slow Stitching workshop, spanning across multiple sessions, where you will immerse yourself in the art of embroidery, sashiko, kogin, and needle-turn appliqué. Beyond learning techniques, this class seeks to build a supportive community, foster fellowship, encourage open discussions, and introduce you to new skills or perhaps give you a chance to practice techniques learned long ago. 

This club will meet over the course of 9 months. Remember, we’re taking it slow! We’ll meet once a month, on the first Thursday, and slow down to do some fun hand stitching in the company of sewing friends. There will be good conversation, snacks, and of course, slow stitching!

During our 9-month adventure, we will explore various hand stitching techniques (including embroidery, Sashiko, reverse applique, & Kogin), with a variety of projects that will feature our new hand stitching skills. 

Our first meeting will be all about getting to know each other and starting our first project. You'll even get an exclsive goody bag, which includes items to get you started on your hand stitching adventure (valued at over $135!), just for Slow Stitchers! After that, we will meet each month to learn a new hand stitching skill and work on our skills and projects together. There will also be "members only" specials and prizes for those in attendance.

Throughout this multi-session journey, you will not only acquire a diverse set of slow stitching skills but also cultivate a sense of belonging within a creative community. Engage in meaningful discussions, share insights, and explore new techniques together, creating inspiration, camaraderie, and lasting connections. Whether you are a novice or an experienced crafter, this workshop invites you to experience the restorative power of slow stitching while nurturing your creativity and building lifelong friendships.

Initial ticket price for this club includes the membership fee and the first meeting.  The remaining 8 meetings will be $20/month and charged as a recurring payment.
