About the event
Discover the beauty and rhythm of sashiko stitching while creating a charming lavender sachet! In this relaxing hand-stitching class, students will learn how to draw a grid and stitch traditional hitomezashi (one-stitch) sashiko patterns. We'll cover basic sashiko techniques, including how to mark your fabric, thread your needle, and maintain consistent stitch length. Once your design is complete, you'll sew it into a sachet filled with fragrant lavender buds from a local farm—perfect for gifting or keeping in your drawer. No prior experience necessary—lavender buds from Blooming Hill Lavender Farm are included!
