Mini of the Month: Trinket (Foundation Paper Piecing)

January’s Monthly Mini is all about Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP). In this class you’ll learn all about using paper to piece your design, creating perfect points, placement, and seams. 

FPP is a fun technique where fabric stitched together using a design printed onto a piece of paper. Using the lines on the paper as a guide for stitching your seam, accuracy is achieved effortlessly. Even complex designs are easier when using the FPP method! We will be using Alison Glass' pattern, Trinket. This is a great pattern that offers small block designs that increase in difficulty. These individual blocks can be sewn together to create a quilt or project that is unique not only based on fabric selection, but also by choosing different blocks.   The blocks can then be made into a mini wall hanging, tote bag, zipper pouch, or pillow. So many possibilities!

What is our "Mini of the Month" series?

Learn a lifetime skill, not a project....each month will feature a mini quilt that can be hung on your wall, made into a pillow or a tote bag. All perfect to brighten up your day! Or perhaps, learn that 1 block and make it bigger for a throw, twin or king size quilt. It's up to you!
