Learn To Quilt

Whether you’ve always wanted to learn how to quilt, or perhaps have already made a quilt, but would like to delve deeper into the basics, this class is for you. We will begin our quilting journey by discussing color theory, selecting a pattern appropriate for beginners, and choosing fabrics. We’ll talk about what tools are necessary and which are “nice to have”. After selecting the pattern and fabrics, we will dive into cutting and sewing to complete our quilt top and back. After taking this class, students will be ready to take our "Finish It" classes which cover hand quilting, machine quilting, and binding techniques. 

Choose a quilt to make from a curated pattern collection offered by us! 

This class is designed for beginners, but knowledge of using a sewing machine is necessary. It is also recommended that students have their own sewing machine at home as there may be homework between classes so that students are ready to progress during subsequent classes.

Materials not included, but must be purchased from Sew Magarbo (get 10% off when purchased in-store)
