About the event
Let's get you ready to make garments!
This class is the second in our teen beginning garment making series for Beginner Teens (ages 15-18). It is designed for those who want to sew garments and would like to learn more about the fabric selection and preparation. In this class we will begin with an overview of the types of fabric available. We will provide guidance on what to look for in selecting fabric for your garment project. This class will also cover how to prepare the fabric as one of the steps in sewing a garment. We will then guide you through the layout, cutting, and marking of the fabric so you can successfully tackle your project.
This class is designed for beginners and new sewists, and is recommended for those who want to learn how to sew garments.
Skills Taught:
- How to cut fabric using pattern pieces
- How to mark the cut pattern pieces
- How to select fabric for your project
- How to prepare your fabric to sew a garment
- Plus other tips and tricks!
