About the event

You want to sew garments for yourself, you found and bought a pattern you like, you open the pattern to begin the project's like reading a foreign language!  Where do you begin and what is a grainline anyway?!

This class will guide you in interpreting and understanding the actual sewing pattern including the size chart, measurements, fabrics for beginner sewists, the guide sheet or instructions, pattern pieces, layouts and sewing terminology.  We'll also discuss paper versus PDF patterns.
