About the event
You want to learn a new skill and learn to sew garments for yourself.  You've bought a pattern you like, open the pattern to begin the project and… it’s like reading a foreign language!  Where do you begin and what is a grainline anyway?!
This class will take you through the interpretation and understanding of the actual sewing pattern itself including the size chart, measurements, fabrics for beginner sewists, the guide sheet or instructions, pattern pieces, layouts and sewing terminology. Â We'll also discuss paper versus PDF patterns. Â The goal is to provide you with the knowledge to successfully go through all the pattern steps to sew the garment or project you have chosen.
