Teen Upcycled Jeans Bag

Calling all teens! Join us for some Friday fun and make a beginner friendly tote bag out of a pair of jeans! Grab your friend to sew with you! Why not?

Students will learn how to upcycle old jeans into a reusable bag! This is a great way to keep waste out of the landfill and repurpose something that can continue to be valuable for years. In this "teen only" class, students ages 14-17, will get creative and stitch up a cross body bag using a pair of (no longer loved/worn) jeans. Students will learn how to deconstruct jeans, reconstruct using a sewing machine, and leave with an upcycled cross body bag ready to carry all the things.

This class is designed for beginner sewists and basic knowledge of using a sewing machine is necessary. Students will work at their own pace during class using studio machines.
