About the event
Join us at Sew Magarbo for an absolute Beginner Quilt course that offers the basics of quilt making.
Quilts consist of three layers: a quilt top, batting, and backing. The quilt top is generally made of pieces of fabric sewn together using a design. In this class, students will learn the basics of making the QUILT TOP only.
During the 2 classes, we will tackle all the steps and skills required to make a 35 1/2 " x 40 1/2" quilt top.
This Beginner Quilt class is a great way to learn new skills, meet quilty friends, complete a quilt top, and have fun! Students will have the opportunity to finish their quilt by attending separate "Finish It" classes that offer a variety of ways to quilt and bind their quilt tops.
You will learn how to:
- Read a quilt pattern
- Safely and precisely cut fabric
- Accurately piece and assemble a quilt top

- List is found in email when registered
- Pattern is included
- We provide the sewing machine!
