Freezer Paper FPP

Ready to learn how to use the foundation paper piecing method to create perfect points and shapes in your quilting? Or, have you tried foundation paper piecing, but are tired of ripping out all those papers? 

Join us for a workshop where you'll learn the foundation paper piecing technique using freezer paper and eliminate ripping out paper! In this class, participants will learn the step-by-step process of creating quilt blocks with freezer paper as the foundation. Foundation paper piecing is a quilting method that ensures precise and accurate results, making it perfect for both beginners and experienced quilters seeking a new skill.

We will use Carolyn Friedlander's Sunrise quilt pattern to teach the basics of foundation paper piecing as well as the method of using freezer paper to accomplish perfect blocks. This pattern uses 2 1/2" strips, so it is also jelly roll friendly, making it an even quicker make! 

This is a skill-based class where students will leave with a completed quilt block (or more!) and the knowledge to create a quilt of their desired size on their own. 

Skills Taught:

• Introduction to Foundation Paper Piecing: Learn the basics of foundation paper piecing and understand how it differs from traditional quilting methods.
• Freezer Paper Magic: Learn how to efficiently use freezer paper templates to achieve crisp lines and flawless angles in your quilt blocks.
• Block Design: Students will have the opportunity to experiment with different and color combinations, fostering their creativity.
• Precision Techniques: Learn techniques for precise cutting, sewing, and pressing to achieve impeccable results in your foundation paper piecing projects.
