Jump Into Sewing Series: Apron

The holiday season is just around the corner, and what better way to make it extra special than by crafting your own custom apron? Whether you plan to use it for your festive feasts or gift it to someone dear, taking a class to learn how to make an apron can be a rewarding and creative experience. Not only will you acquire a valuable skill, but you'll also be able to make an apron with a personal touch, making it a truly unique and cherished piece. The apron is adjustable, includes a pocket, and can be used by men or women! 

Embrace the joy of sewing and the satisfaction of gifting something handmade this holiday season. This is one of a series of skill building classes that will jump start you sewing all kinds of projects. 

This class is designed for beginners, but knowledge of using a sewing machine is necessary. It is recommended that students have taken Machine Basics at Sew Magarbo, OR know how to use a sewing machine. Students will work at their own pace during class using studio machines.

SKILLS TAUGHT:

• Drawing and cutting a pattern on fabric 
• Finishing edges using a zig zag stitch
• Creating a pocket
• Topstitching
