Bootcamp: Intro to Garment Sewing

Sidney is a boxy sweatshirt with a loose crew neck and finger skimming sleeves.

Merchant & Mills is a leading manufacturer of high quality patterns and fabrics in the UK. This class introduces the beginner garment sewist to the M&M beginner friendly pattern, the Sidney, as well as their jacquard cotton fabric, which is a layered cotton with a jacquard weave that gives it a quilted look and feel.

In this adult (18+)  beginner garment workshop, students will stitch a super comfy and very trendy Merchant & Mills Sidney top using Merchant & Mills  jacquard cotton fabric. Students will learn how to read a pattern, cut, and assemble garment. 

We provide: studio space, tools, and expertise. *While this class will be taught using a sewing machine, sergers will also be available to use. 

Materials needed: 

• Matching COTTON (blush/dark gray) thread
• All other materials are INCLUDED! Class fee includes use of our machines, the Merchant & Mills Sidney pattern, Merchant & Mills jacquart cotton, ribbing (ALL imported from UK)
